Charted vs Highcharts: What are the differences?

  1. Customization Options: Charted offers limited customization options compared to Highcharts. Highcharts provides a wide range of customizable features and settings, allowing users to tailor their charts to their specific needs with greater flexibility.
  2. Interactive Features: Highcharts offers a more interactive experience with features like drill-down capabilities, zooming, and dynamic data updates. While Charted provides basic interactivity, Highcharts takes it a step further by offering a more engaging user experience through these advanced features.
  3. Technical Support: Highcharts provides extensive technical support, including documentation, forums, and customer service, which can be beneficial for users encountering issues or seeking guidance. On the other hand, Charted may not offer the same level of technical support, potentially making it more challenging for users to troubleshoot problems.
  4. Chart Types: Highcharts offers a wider variety of chart types, including heat maps, 3D charts, and gauges, giving users more options to visualize their data creatively. In contrast, Charted may have a more limited selection of chart types available for users to choose from.
  5. Integration Possibilities: Highcharts can be seamlessly integrated with other libraries and frameworks like jQuery, Angular, and React, making it a versatile option for developers working in different environments. Charted, on the other hand, may have limited compatibility and integration possibilities, which could restrict its use in certain projects.

In Summary, Highcharts provides more advanced customization, interactive features, technical support, chart types, and integration possibilities compared to Charted.

I've used Highcharts with both Angular Js Reactive applications (render as ReactJs) and also a bit of D3. Personally I found Highcharts to be the easiest to use but, with still quite a good level of customisability if you need it. graphs and charts then give D3 a try.
