Gaia vs Teletraan: What are the differences?
What is Gaia? Build pipelines in any programming language. Gaia is an open source automation platform which makes it easy and fun to build powerful pipelines in any programming language. Based on HashiCorp's go-plugin and gRPC, gaia is efficient, fast, lightweight, and developer friendly.
What is Teletraan? Pinterest's deploy system. Teletraan is designed to do one thing and one thing only - deploy. It supports critical features such as 0 downtime deploy, rollback, staging, continuous deploy; and many convenient features such as showing commit details, comparing different deploys, notifying deploy state changes through email or chat, displaying metrics and more. Teletraan currently does not support container based deploy yet, it is on our roadmap to support next.
Gaia and Teletraan can be primarily classified as "Continuous Deployment" tools.
Gaia and Teletraan are both open source tools. It seems that Gaia with 3.71K GitHub stars and 158 forks on GitHub has more adoption than Teletraan with 1.63K GitHub stars and 212 GitHub forks.
