We turned Ansible Semaphore to a simple CI/CD system. The most popular CI/CD systems like GitLab and Jenkins are very complex for our tasks. This is the reason we made the decision to use Semaphore as CI/CD. Read the post how we did it.

We needed a web interface to run Ansible playbooks. We chose Ansible Semaphore UI because it is not require Docker and Kubernetes. It is much easier to set up than AWX.

I never use Tower, but I can recommend Ansible Semaphore as alternative to Rundeck. It is lightweight, easy to use and tailored for work with Ansible.

Our company had many Ansible playbooks, and we needed a tool to run them through the web UI.
