I created a simple upload/download functionality for a web application and connected it to Mongo, now I can upload, store and download files. I need advice on how to create a SPA similar to Dropbox or Google Drive in that it will be a hierarchy of folders with files within them, how would I go about creating this structure and adding this functionality to all the files within the application?

Intuitively creating a react component and adding it to a File object seems like the way to go, what are some issues to expect and how do I go about creating such an application to be as fast and UI-friendly as possible?

Almost MEAN, actually I'm looking to build a note-sharing application for my colleagues at university. I already have some experience with React and after a bit of research I decided to lock the MERN stack, it will be my first solo (outside of university) experience on the backend in general and I do have 2-3 people with a low amount of knowledge of CS in general.

First of all, if anyone has a good reference for such a platform, simple file exchange (pdfs, docs, md), those are always welcome, but my main concern is creating the big picture and delegating tasks so we move as efficiently as possible. It makes the most sense to give the easiest task to people with the least experience, however, given my limited experience in building a full-stack application from scratch I'm having doubts about almost everything. I do have experience as a SCRUM master and PM, but it was for a creative media project.

Any advice, from reference, to stack, to how should we go about our team effort is greatly appreciated!

You can always bet on JavaScript, you say that you want to be a full-stack developer, so you will never go wrong with that. For a path I would recommend choosing a project you want to build, as many programmers say - "Everything will eventually be built in JavaScript" - choose a project and try to jump right into it, see as many references as possible, watch youtube videos, but most imporantly!! Build something you are passionate about and have fun! :)
