Wordpress is extremely easy to learn and implement. Although is it not as sexy for devs to work with it is by far the most cost effective way to get a dynamic website up and running with very little debugging.

It's great for: * Landing pages * Private Social Networks * Blogs - obviously ;) * News Networks * Member sites * Multilingual content

Rackspace plays nice with Windows Server 2013. It is the most customizable platform I have worked with so far and the closest to running a private server. The dev tools are great and if you want to work in a familiar environment with as much customizability as you want this is the right server for you.

Google is an amazing free tool and is extremely customizable. I use it for A/B testing (using google content experiment), Lean Analytics (measuring goals based on events), and it's new asynchronous JS has made a lot of tracking easier.

If you need something free this is definitely your best option.

Dropbox is great and I use it all the time for personal use to share static files with friends like pictures, videos, or documents... however I will never use it for anything serious to do with my work because of two really big problems.

1 - Doesn't use static address' by default. With other services like Google Drive each file is given an ID and when that file is share is uses that ID to share it. This means that wherever I put that file, whoever I transfer it to, even if I change the title the URL to that file stays the same. Not true for dropbox. I don't know if there is an option for this but it's not worth the hassel to find out.

2 - Editing a document almost always causes a problem. With Google Docs or Microsoft One drive the docs that you collaborate on are updated in real time and are never in conflict with one another. The problem with a 3rd party solution like dropbox is that it can't update in realtime which means that if 2 people are working on separate computer there are 2 docs created. Then the other machines have to try to integrate the docs themselves. With 2-3 people this usually works alright but when 5 people are working simultaneously on the same doc someone's work usually goes missing.

Also for personal accounts 100GB = 99$ a year vs Google Drive 100GB = 24$ a year...

I have 23gb for free though so I don't complain ;)

I have been using asana for a couple years and I have nothing but good things to say... except that it doesn't have a unified inbox and task list across you Organization/Workspaces :(

Amazingly easy task/project management Meetings are great, Type your meeting agenda, notes & next actions directly into asana while the meetig is taking place. Integrates with Dropbox and Google Drive.

This is the easiest project management tool I have ever used and it is very easy to get other people to use it too. I haven't has as much success implementing a habit within an organization as with asana. The biggest problem with Project management systems is that organization members don't use them enough, not with asana. Mobile apps, speedy web app, and integrations galore make it easy for people to stay up to date.

I have been using KISSmetrics on a free trial from Eric Reese. It is amazing!

Very easy to set up, intuitive and user friendly reports. Cohort segmentation. Basically everything we need in an analytics platform right now and with a lot less hassle than google analytics.

Google Apps provides FANTASTIC value for it's price. It's an entire office suite for $50 a year. I have been using Google Docs for the last 7 years and it is constantly getting better. It was at the point in 2013 that when I bought my new computer I didn't buy Microsoft Office. I use Google Drive for all my business needs.

With many users in Google Apps for Business platform it is very easy to keep documents organized and manage what can and can't be shared with other organizations. All your conversations, docs, and even conference calls are safe within a managed application. You will have easy control over communication and documents within your organization.

Windows Azure is more difficult to configure than some other cloud based technologies, however, it makes up for it with the incredible integrations and ease of development on mobile platforms (Android, iOS and of course Windows Phone).

The Azure Web Sites is a PaaS that is very easy to setup and is pretty powerful.

If you want VMs you can have them and even program when they come online.

There are tons of ways to use this service and there are a lot of free things you can get in order to try it out. The only downside is that you have to learn a new, although very powerful, platform.
